Job Description We are currently recruiting a Senior Director, R&D Sterile Engineering to join the team on a Full Time, Permanent Basis to provide leadership and direction in engineering expertise and R&D capital projects management for sterile products. This includes long acting release (LAR) formulations, liposomes, suspensions and emulsions. The role will be primarily based in our Runcorn site and will be expected to support activities across the organisation as required. Travel Requirements: + At least 20 - 40% as needed to the Sterile R&D Sites, Production sites and Equipment Manufacturers Key Responsibilities: + In cooperation with the local and global Engineering leadership teams, develop the strategic vision for Sterile R&D and support each of the Global sites in executing that vision, by providing support and direction to its personnel. + Support all Sterile R&D facilities as directed, ensuring projects are delivered within budget and on schedule while ensuring the optimum engineering solution is implemented and satisfies all regulatory and company standards/regulations. Coordinate internal and external resources to focus on delivering projects in accordance of the above. + Work with the technical groups to guide the development of engineering technology and project execution for the corporation. + Work with Sterile R&D Site Heads and site management groups to develop a process to continually evaluate engineering capability and capacities versus portfolio requirements and forecast demand to predict future capital investment requirements. + Develop a strong safety culture that encourages taking the right amount of time to perform each task safely. + Ensure total participation in design (from all levels of the organisation), with regular intensive communication to all parties + Assimilation and consolidation of the capital equipment and instruments of the Sterile sites globally, which will include the inspection, relocation, installation, commissioning, calibration and qualification of equipment.
