Overview
A leading (re)insurer based in the City of London is looking for an Assistant Reinsurance Buyer to join their RI placement team. Duties and Accountabilities: - Contribute to the yearly business plan for Reinsurance strategy across the syndicate and company market platform. - Assist the Head of Reinsurance in the design, collation and placement of a complex Reinsurance program. - Work across multiple business classes written across the Lloyd's and Company market platforms to understand individual nuances and differences in the Reinsurance program. - Produce renewal information as required. - Collate large data sets from Underwriting teams for renewals. - Manage external relationships with brokers and Reinsurers. - Answer Reinsurer queries in a timely manner. - Regular account analysis across all business classes. Technical Skills Required: - High level of numeracy - Strong IT competencies particularly Excel - Outstanding attention to detail - Understanding of risk, controls and Lloyd's/London market minimum standards Experience Required: - Outwards Reinsurance experience highly desirable - Reinsurance Underwriting and/or Broking will also be considered - Understanding of Pricing/Rating of risk - Strong relationship/communication skills
