Overview

West Midlands Up to £26,000 My client is now looking for a proactive and highly skilled Category Analyst to join their West Midlands head office. This is an exciting and varied role that will see you reporting to and supporting the Category Managers by drawing timely and accurate data analysis to assist the team in making important business decisions to effectively drive sales and profitability. We are looking for someone with a passion for numbers and analytics, possess experience of monitoring sales and best/worst sellers, understands margins and planograms, stock holding, and wastage. Finally, someone from a space planning background would be considered. The Role You will be preparing comprehensive reports providing the necessary summary, making appropriate recommendations to assist the General Manager and Category Managers, to make effective business decisions. You will be preparing category plans and allocate via the EPOS system. Work with cluster stores, assess trends, analyse data and identify key customer opportunities that meet and exceed the demands of a varying customer base. Among your other responsibilities will be - - Monitor and analyse the impact of new initiatives. - Prepare product allocations in conjunction with Category Managers. - Prepare and provide data analytics for supplier meetings. - Data analytics on an ongoing basis in relation to reduced to clear and wastage. - Monitor and manage the product sell through process. - Monitor and control new and delisted products across the food division. - Review sales based ordering (SBO) and central product code (NSL) management. - Create detailed stock counts when required for presentation. - Assist in the planning and preparation of promotional and seasonal activity - Develop and promote good communication across the business - To demonstrate a high standard of appearance and conduct at all times. - To promote good working relationships across the whole business - To be aware of and comply with all areas of legislation. - To observe at all times procedures in the company handbook. The Candidate You will have a passion for analytics, be a team player with excellent communication skills. Be highly driven with a strong work ethic and problem-solving ability; possess commercial acumen with the flair to work to strict deadlines, and finally have advanced Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word, and Power point prowess.
