Overview
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Buyer / Category Manager to join a leading business You will be responsible for delivering a commercially focused product ranges that meet both company and team targets, while maintaining a strategic business focus to ensure continued growth in the categories Building & maintaining strong relationships with large suppliers Sourcing suppliers & negotiating best cost prices Analysing data to plan successful future lines Working cross-functionally to implement Category strategies and driving activity, awareness and performance Presenting reports, figures and trend information to the Senior Management team Analyse market trends and competitor activity Actively engaging in people development, coaching, sharing best practise and driving succession planning to deliver a culture of continuous personal improvement. Key requirements for the role; Proven experience as Buyer / Category Manager for a commercial retailer Flexible on product experecne across, Food, Household, Health & Beauty, FMCG and General Merchandise Ability to influence and negotiate effectively Good level of education, degree is preferable Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively at all levels Good working knowledge of budgets and managing conflicting projects Excellent understanding of all MS Office products including advanced Excel If this sounds like a good fit with you please apply today
