Overview

Are you a problem-solver, creative, curious and love building and nurturing business relationships? Then we have a great opportunity for a Business Development Executive to join a small growing award-winning marketing and corporate communications agency who are now looking to build on to an already established portfolio of long-term B2B clients. Driving the sales function, you will be responsible for identifying, profiling and nurturing prospective customers through business development/marketing and PR initiatives. You will be working alongside a dedicated marketer, plus the rest of the team so you can draw on the resources of social media support, copywriting and design. Responsibilities: Creating the business development/sales plan Creating and managing an annual plan, including key activities, recording these and the results. Business Development and sales Running quarterly lead generation campaigns Identifying and profiling prospects Generating engaging and useful content Warming prospects and assessing their potential value for the company Setting up meetings with properly qualified leads, with whom an early relationship has already been built Pitching and winning business Establishing the processes and tools to record and maintain Conferences, events and training You will also manage PR activity, including Researching conference speaking, workshop & training opportunities for the MD to use as a PR platform Approaching organisers and setting up these opportunities Attending industry events, networking and building your own contacts Social media content You will design and manage in collaboration with a dedicated marketer regular social media content marketing & interactions (Twitter/ Linkedin/Instagram) Experience and capabilities You will be a self-starter, confident and excited by the prospect of building the business and see this as a real opportunity of taking the company to the next level. You will need to have experience in sales and marketing in a business-to-business environment, perhaps from an agency background, or with direct experience of your own business. You are a great communicator and presenter have the people skills to truly understand your client’s needs. You will bring a sense of humour and fun, have self-awareness and the emotional intelligence to bring people with you. You will take responsibility for your work and decisions and feel a sense of pride and ownership for the business and what it delivers. You’ll also need to be proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint & Excel and have good IT skills generally. Experience of a CRM system is a beneficial. Not for you but you know someone suitable?
