Overview
Planning Officer, South London, Up to £26 p/h working on a range of planning applications Your new company A vibrant South London Borough is widely regarded as one of the best Planning Teams in the UK. Described as a well-run service with economic growth with large regeneration schemes across the borough delivering a long-lasting legacy. Your new role Will involve a variety of tasks on a day to day basis, including the assessment of all types of planning, consultation, negotiation and written reports. Furthermore, dealing with planning enquires from agents and the public. Alongside dealing with correspondence arising from development control work . What you'll need to succeed A knowledge and application of Town and Country planning and associated legislation, and national, regional and local policy including requirements for public consultation. Proven communication skills, with the ability to present to a diverse range of internal and external audiences using a variety of media and approaches. Negotiation skills/proven ability in negotiation in challenging situations. Ideally you will have a degree in in Town Planning or a RTPI equivalent subject, with a proven track record of handling a range of development management applications.
