Overview

Digital Product Delivery Lead / External Candidate Portal To identify, develop and deliver digital and business change projects that help innovate or differentiate the business, ensuring a high degree of business involvement, fast turnaround, and frequent update. To develop and lead a digital delivery strategy across the organisation, fostering a product management and process ownership focus within the business areas and ensuring the right skills are available to deliver within Digital Delivery and Process Excellence. Job Accountabilities Ensure the Health and Safety management framework is embedded in all activities and our Health and Safety belief statement is a reality Work as part of the Digital Delivery and Process Excellence management team in the day to day leadership of the area Lead and inspire teams and contractors to maintain and develop the organisational culture, values and the company reputation to ensure delivery of the UU vision Works as a partner to assigned business areas/products owners alongside Digital Strategy and Planning to: translate and interpret business strategy to ensure business benefits and company business plan commitments can be achieved connect the business areas strategic and tactical objectives to the work the Digital Delivery and Process Excellence teams will undertake help identify and develop new opportunities to innovate and improve the business areas provide frequent updates of service development to senior stakeholders ensure all delivery is aligned to roadmaps and central digital design Accountable for the successful delivery of digital and business change projects for assigned business areas, including: Overseeing a portfolio of change covering design, build, test and handover Determining the right delivery mode for specific needs and establishing the right team from across the organisation to succeed managing project teams and keeping them focused on delivery of objectives planning, directing and delivering agreed initiatives to time, cost and quality objectives managing dependencies both within assigned business areas and across other areas fostering good communication and working relationship project sponsors and product managers/owners Developing Digital Services and Digital Delivery and Process Excellence within UU by: providing line management to project management resource continually developing the delivery modes, skills and service in line with external market developments and business needs fostering and developing a 'digital culture' across the business establishing an effective community of practice for product managers establishing and sustaining a product management practice and competencies across UU Knowledge and Skills Degree level qualification or equivalent experience, ideally with post-degree professional qualification Project or Programme Management certification or equivalent experience Strong track record and experience in managing large scale, complex transformation programmes through a range of delivery modes Demonstrable experience of successful collaborative relations to achieve area and business objectives Extensive leadership and people management skills and an ability to build, recruit and develop high performing teams Excellent interpersonal skills to manage relationships across UU and influence key leaders at Director and Senior Manager level Strong commercial management skills and experience, and a demonstrable track record of managing third party suppliers to time, budget, and quality outcomes A strong financial understanding acquired through budget management Knowledge of a regulated Utility company Strong strategic thinker able to ensure projects and programmes are aligned to the overall company strategy for systems thinking and the associated digital strategy and roadmaps Experience in establishing change through innovation, market awareness and research We need fantastic people to enable us to deliver a great service to the public.
