Overview

Project Manager Location: South London Our client is a multi-award winning, and continuously growing established publisher across various industries. Jobfinders are looking for an energetic, results-driven, motivated individual to join the team in a NEW role within the projects department. As Project Manager, you will have a unique opportunity to support the Head of Projects in commissioning, developing and delivering client-sponsored publications and activities such as supplements, guides, webinars, consensus documents, conferences, etc. You will excel at providing client and author liaison throughout the whole project lifecycle, maintaining quality standards and delivering projects on time and on budget. You will be joining a dynamic, friendly and delivery-focused team, that publishes around five projects per month. This is a rapidly growing area of the business, therefore an exciting role to take on. There will be plenty of opportunities to demonstrate and apply your skills. You might be required to travel within the UK and abroad for conferences and events. What does the role require? This position requires a strong track record of successful project management, an editorial eye and the will to go above and beyond. Candidates will have the ability to work to strict deadlines , demonstrate an interest in research and a passion for transforming complex text into accessible copy. You will need to be highly organised , with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Your main responsibilities will include: Commissioning editorial content Searching for potential authors Identifying reviewers Using appropriate software to upload and manage submissions, as well as to check references Monitoring and implementing press schedules Attending conferences, meetings and events as required Updating clients and the Sales department on progress for each project Collating and filing quotes, proposals and budgets for each project Liaising with the accounts department for author payments, and dealing with complimentary copies Proofing Website development This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who has: Proven experience in project management A bachelor`s degree Strong organisational and planning skills Exceptional verbal and written skills A can-do attitude and the will to go above and beyond Excellent use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Ideally, Adobe (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) but not essential Submit your application to us today for consideration.
