Overview

We are looking for a Compliance Officer to join LegalZoom’s head office in London. The role includes working alongside the compliance team and assisting the Director of Risk and Compliance with ongoing projects and general day-to-day compliance duties. What you’ll do: Update and maintain company policies and ensure reviews completed within agreed timeframes. Identify, assess, challenge, escalate and monitor Regulatory Risks faced by the business, and provide advice to support new initiatives and existing business processes and products. Support with design and delivery of compliance training and communications. Oversee data privacy and protection issues; enhance where necessary data protection policies and procedures to reflect best practice and regulatory advice and guidance. Due Diligence and Commercial contractual review support on commercial agreements. Act as the primary point day to day contact for compliance queries within the London office. Assist in the gathering of internal information in response to regulatory requests from various regulators. Ongoing management of ISO 27001 requirements and standards. Support on the Anti money Laundering requirements within the business. Preform regular internal audits across departments and assist with external audits. Administration duties to support wider compliance team. Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to create a culture of compliance within the business. What you need: Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Compliance Officer or acting in a similar role. Knowledge and experience of ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Knowledge and experience of working within an ISO27701 regulated environment. Working experience and understanding of DPA and GDPR and their compliance requirements. Knowledge of data sharing agreements, privacy, consent, and data management. Understanding of legal and financial compliance requirements, including for PCIDSS and money laundering supervision. Knowledge and experience of Anti Money Laundering and due diligence requirements. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to deal with a range of challenges arising from internal and external stakeholders at all levels in a clear and concise manner. Investigate irregularities and non-compliance issues. Report back to business functions on current risk and compliance performance. Proven attention to detail and ability to work on a variety of tasks simultaneously. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a timely manner. Ability to work independently as well as working successfully within a team. Experience within Insurance, Legal Services or Financial Services is required.
