About the role We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Head of Internal Communications to join our growing people team. This role can be based anywhere across the UK and will require occasional travel to our offices across the country. This is a key role for our business where you will be responsible for leading and implementing an internal communications strategy that promotes collaboration and improves employee engagement across our group of businesses. Within the role you will be involved in multiple projects partnering with and coaching our internal stakeholders to improve and enhance internal communications focusing on improving employee engagement. Responsibilities Include but not limited to: Develop and implement an internal communications strategy across the business Reviewing and updating our company intranet to ensure information is useful and meaningful Organise and manage communication in relation to company events Developing employee collateral such as handbooks and welcome packs Working collaboratively with our businesses to help improve communications on briefings and newsletters Supporting the people team in enhancing and developing employer branding campaigns Writing and delivering engaging content around company awards and recognition activities, in addition to content on company charity events Utilising multiple communication channels to connect with employees in sharing business information About You Excellent attention to detail with good accuracy skills Strong communication skills Ability to work with and build relationships with stakeholders Delivery focused - with ability to meet targets and deadlines Committed to delivering an excellent service to improve business performance Skills/Experience required A proven track record of shaping and driving the delivery of an internal communications strategy Creative writing skills with a good eye for detail Demonstrable experience of leading innovation in communications, including using different channels to captivate maximum engagement Ability to update and manage digital platforms (including intranets and websites) Ability to successfully lead communications projects and campaigns with flair What we can offer you In exchange for your hard work we can offer you a competitive salary annual performance-based bonus, in addition to excellent company benefits which include 25 days annual leave bank holidays which increase with years of service, company pension scheme where we match your contribution up to 5% plus many more benefits.
