Overview
CTO / Chief Technology Officer Agriculture is broken, my client is developing digital solutions to fight climate change, improve public health and ultimately save lives. The vision is to build a Climate Tech company which will redefine how agriculture is viewed globally. The company will drive and be focused on improving carbon sequestration whilst increasing product yields and nutritional quality. The second hire into the newly created Climate Tech business will be the CTO. You will ultimately set the vision for the technology roadmap and deliver the complete end to end digitalsiation of the aggriculture business, on a global scale Skills & experience: A track record in building and developing disruptive solutions for a market. Previous/current experience as a CTO or in another technology leadership role Experience in building data driven applications for BI Strong ability to conduct research and analyse new technologies Strong leadership skills Ambitious and keen to make a real impact in the climate technology space What you will do: Setting a vision for how technology will be used and deliver the vision of complete digitalisation of a farm business. Implement plan to improve digital data supply chains (data feeds), improving the frequency and quality of data collection from all the business assets. Unlock existing data collection silo’s in business, utilising existing technology in the business and bringing in alternative data sources to drive improved quality of data collection. Working with IoT sensors, vision, drones and satellites. Develop digital twins of growing assets and enable predictive modelling capability to drive business intelligence. Build manage and act as mentor for the technology team. Staying on top of technology trends and developments. Support the CEO and founders during the 2021 investment rounds to accelerate the vision and further scale the team and business.
