Overview

Reporting to the Business & Academic Services Marketing Manager, the post holder will work specifically (but not limited to) with the Executive Education, PhD and Executive PhD, Centre for Charity Effectiveness recruitment and admissions teams, as well as the research centres, and is responsible for bringing the School's 'extraordinary' positioning to life in support of the School's strategic vision of leadership through Knowledge Creation, Education and Community Partnerships. The ultimate objective is to meet student fee income and to recruit the highest calibre students. Principal Responsibilities Support the Business & Academic Services Marketing Manager to develop a marketing campaign plans for the Business & Academic Services areas: Executive Education, Centre for Charity Effectiveness ( PhD and Executive PhD programmes, and Research Centres Manage and develop all campaign elements including but not limited to ads, PPC campaigns, blogs, infographics, print, events, sponsorship, CRM, email communications, video, social media and SEO optimisation, utilising internal and external resources as appropriate Work with the web team to enhance the webpages and actively monitor and improve SEO performance Brief external agencies on the creative, video, digital, print and media rosters to deliver campaign activity against brief Lead on all social media and external communications for the Business & Academic Services areas: Executive Education, Centre for Charity Effectiveness PhD and Executive PhD programmes, and Research Centres Lead on all marketing elements and content creation for the PhD and Executive PhD - developing content such as videos, publications etc. and develop innovative ways to use content and engage wider audiences for recruitment Deliver regular campaign analysis drawing on relevant reports including (but not limited to) Google Analytics, email data, campaign metrics KPI reports and social data analysis. Analyse campaign activity and ensure lessons learnt are applied to future campaigns. Work with students and programme participants, careers team, recruitment team, alumni and communications colleagues to create compelling content and stories that bring the School's 'extraordinary' positioning to life Manage the marketing expenditure in line with revenue forecasts and budgets Brief suppliers and monitor progress against timescale and budget Work with the designated design agency to oversee design and layout of collateral Work with colleagues in the School and across the Marketing and Communications team to gather required copy, information and other content and work with the designated external copywriter when appropriate to develop final copy Obtain sign off for design and copy from relevant stakeholders Finalise the print and distribution of materials to School colleagues Monitor the use of all materials and ensure supplies are replenished as appropriate Provide excellent customer service Keep up-to-date records of purchasing / spend Work with the Accounts Team to ensure effective payment of key suppliers. Update social assets and print materials when required Knowledge, skills and experience CIM qualified preferable (post-qualification) Educated to degree level standard or equivalent Demonstrable marketing experience gained ideally in a complex service environment Strong track-record of digital marketing skills and copywriting Experience of marketing and recruitment Project management experience including briefing, scheduling, budget control and evaluation Knowledge of creative campaign development and other demonstrable marketing experience Ability to plan, organise and execute projects to time and budget Excellent proof reading, verbal and written communication skills - ability to write clearly for a variety of different audiences Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work across a number of teams Results-oriented and customer focussed approach Commercial and financial awareness Ability to work through influencing and collaboration Able to analyse and demonstrate ROI and effectiveness of marketing campaigns through regular and succinct reporting, including Google Analytics Good time management skills, with the ability to prioritise own workload Ideally experience of working in a marketing role within the Higher Education Sector Please note Annual Leave is 30 days, plus 8 statutory and 4 additional days during the Christmas holiday period and they will consider candidates on up to three months' notice.
