Senior Director Product Management, International The Product Manager, International, is responsible for development of a differentiating product portfolio and owning the overall international product portfolio of Omnicell, life cycle management and successful introduction and development of markets of the Omnicell product lines sold and in ensuring a differentiating portfolio in the International markets. Different product lines sold internationally may vary by market and the Product Manager maintains a highly visible role within the organization. The influence and responsibility of this role spans across many activities from strategic to tactical. Defines and executes the product strategy for our next generation product while also determining how to effectively drive sales from our existing base using tactical programs. This role involves working closely with International business partners, cross-functional teams; International Sales and Operations, Engineering, strategic teams and customers in various countries. The successful candidate will have a strategic mindset and the demonstrated ability to understand the portfolio’s existing products and markets to identify new markets, solutions, service and pricing options to drive sales and adoption in markets. The Product Manager requires strong communication, project management and subject matter expertise in the Medical and Supply Automation fields. Also involved in downstream marketing: managing product launch activities (working with outside agencies and internal creative groups as necessary), creating effective sales tools, reporting on market share and profit margins for the product portfolio. Responsibilities Key activities Market analysis o Identify market challenges o Identify future market trends/development o Technology assessment o Competitive analyses o Market sizing (TAM/SAM/SOM) o Managing in countries advisory boards/key opinion leaders o Define in what markets we like to be active with what solution(s) and which value proposition Portfolio strategy o Define the pharmacy and supply vision for Omnicell international. o Based on market needs define the 5-10 year portfolio strategy of international that secure a 15% year on year growth and will bring the business in coming 5 years to $150M a year o Transition the Omnicell business from capital business to recurring software and service business. o Per solution take the decision around build, buy or partner Product management o Define the needed features, performance, usability, supportability and costs of our products o Get commitment from engineer what they can develop and when o Get commitment from manufacturing what the cost are of the new to be developed products/features. o Develop business case for new products/features o Define product roadmap, release scheduling and sprint guidance o Manage alpha/beta testing o Managing the product scorecards and quarterly business reviews to govern the performance of the product family and individual products relative to plan and the product objectives. Market introduction o Introduction of new products into the market o Developing the value proposition, reference and proof points o Education of the salespeople o First of kind market introduction Financial o Manage the cost of goods of our products/solutions o Management of the Department budget Required Knowledge and Skills: Development of portfolio vision and strategy within healthcare product, software and managed service company Experience in the hospital environment and how you can reduce errors, simply workflow and reduce costs using integrated devices and software solutions within nursing and central pharmacy. Life cycle product management with emphasis on downstream marketing. First-hand knowledge of support tactics design to drive sales of products. Strong communication and leadership skills Demonstrated ability to be customer-focused Ability to interface effectively and collaborate with customer and peers Excellent critical thinking skills Demonstrated ability to take initiative and accountability for achieving results Master’s Degree in Product marketing/Engineering/Design, Proven ability in fast learning of specific requirements of complex operations Persuasive and effective communication skills. Must be fluent in English and be able to read and write at an accomplished level. Willingness to travel 40-50% of time Basic Qualifications: Master’s degrees 10 Years of experience in Product Management and Development preferably with healthcare products and services including hardware/robotics
