About the role We’re looking for an experienced bid manager to help us shape and deliver bids and proposals to both new and existing customers. Reporting to our client director you’ll support our sales process, working closely with all departments in the company. Whilst it’s important you’re able to manage the bid and proposal process effectively, it’s as important that you enjoy writing compelling content and successful pitch decks. Our company is growing and so is our ambition. We need someone who will provide a creative but focused approach to our sales process, to help us on our mission to design better public services. You will have experience managing several projects at a time and able to cope with the challenge that this brings. Responsibilities monitor and manage the bid team mailbox organise kick-off meetings and reviews coordinate inputs and collate documents for bid submissions ensure our sales systems are kept up to date throughout the sales cycle maintain our bid and proposal library and company bid knowledge base work with the client director to identify bids and tenders that may be suitable (Digital Marketplace and other relevant frameworks and tender portals) clarification and qualification of potential opportunities manage responses to bids, tenders and proposals across the company and in some cases with wider consortiums attend meetings, workshops, sales meetings and pitches as necessary to support with proposal and bid writing with prospective clients and the team support the team to prioritise and develop bids that are tailored to clients support the team to identify a sales pipeline, build relationships and tactics for reaching new clients contribute to and maintain FutureGov templates and resources to support consistent messaging in bids across the organisation (content and design) contribute to and maintain the FutureGov case study pitch and bid resource to help engage potential new clients, support pitching and bid development based on past work with clients, help shape the cycle for building clients from one off small projects to larger scale, long term partners manage the end to end bid/proposal processes drawing on the skills and resources across the FutureGov team to deliver them on time and within client budget write creative and compelling content for bids, proposals and tender opportunities alongside sector directors and project directors work with the team to understand our strengths, knowledge and experience and draw on this to inform the sales work use your knowledge and insights to pitch new ideas or opportunities to the management team challenge the current ways we do things and influence some of our processes for the better Experience and mindset You’ll be a positive, creative and energetic person who has good business sense. You’re detail orientated and comfortable delegating to others in the team.
