Job Description
We are looking for a Technical Proposal Writer to join our friendly New Business team. Working directly with our Co-Founder and Bid Manager, you will work as a trio responding to a range of "Request for Proposals" (RfPs), issued by clients from across a number of frameworks we are listed on. This will include bid development, drafting, and revising bids to a tight turnaround, plus working with our bid manager to submit final proposals in response to the various RfPs. Responsibilities: * Work with the Bid Manager to horizon scan and prepare for new and upcoming RfP solicitations * Work with the Business Development team to coordinate timelines and incorporate client-specific requirements in bid preparation * Maintain up-to-date knowledge of work being undertaken within the agency to support bid development * Own the bid writing process from initial draft through revisions to final submission doc - taking in feedback from review processed along the way * Own and manage multiple concurrent response timelines * Contribute to additional documentation and business development efforts (i.e. drafting of case studies and pitch deck text) * Work with the wider Research & Strategy team to conceptualise and draft concept notes for client meetings * Work with our Bid Manager to ensure a constant flow of RfPs into the agency from various frameworksPerform other duties as assigned or required Requirements * Degree in English or Technical Writing or a technical or writing field or other applicable degree * 5+ years of professional writing experience * Experience of previous written responses to RfPs issued by HMG, USG, UN and EU * Strong understanding of, and interest in, geopolitics and current affairs * Strong planning, research and organisation skills * Ability to work independently, collaborate with teammates, and fully deliver on all commitments to meet deadlines * Communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner * Schedule flexibility to work with occasional out of hours and weekend work required to meet client deadlines * Able to perform successfully in a fast-paced, intellectually intense, policy-oriented environment
