Overview

Large US owned cosmetics company based 2 minutes walk from Euston Main line station are recruiting for an Events Specialist to join their busy team PURPOSE The Events Specialist is responsible for the delivery of all events from planning to implementation. They will handle the key events within the company (Leadership Conference, Career Conference and Seminar) and incentive trips (US Seminar and Top Director Trip) to include the development, planning, organizing and leadership of events in line with the sales strategy and business. Promote the company message through face to face events to achieve the Strategic Plan and to ensure the successful delivery of recognition to all incentive achievers, including the logistics of these trips. Delivery of additional smaller and localised events as required. Responsibilities also include creating effective communications strategies both internally and externally and including social media. There will also be a large emphasis on collaborative working with the sales team in order to ultimately drive event ticket sales. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Liaise with the General Manager, Senior Sales Manager and Marketing Manager to identify event requirements, both Sales and consumer related events as per business goals. Analyse each event’s requirements in order to create a customised events program promoting company culture and values. Including our three core Sales team events: Leadership Conference, Career Conference and Seminar, and also brand awareness events and Sales team Incentive trips.  Planning ahead (ideal 18 months) to secure venues for all future events.  Responsible for 360 degree event management, from planning through to implementation and post event analysis, with strong communication and marketing plans for all events.  Provide strong direction and leadership to all staff at all events.  Manage and collate content required for all events, including, agenda’s, timed outlines, scripts and presentations.  Liaise with members of the Region Team and respond to Region requests as required.  Budget and expense management.  Provide full travel support and event itinerary for all Special Guests.  Organise all travel requirements including flights, car transfers etc.  Creativity in representing the brand. Create exciting content at events i.e. Expo, product displays Design and create on-brand event literature.  Attend events and trips as required, provide full support to colleagues and Sales team- be a brand ambassador.  Ensure that all sales and marketing colleagues are fully briefed and updated regularly on event progress.  Liaise with presenters and guests regarding their necessary requirements.  Support the Sales team with PowerPoint presentations for webinars and training.  Support the unit meeting development through a robust promotion campaign  Liaise with marketing to ensure a robus communication plan is in place to publicise events and support attendance.  Coordinate content, design and printing of literature.  Manage social media postings in order to gain buy in ahead of event attendance.  Contact all career path levels in order to encourage event attendance where applicable.  Liaise with Operations on literature and stock management of collateral  Organise the design and re-print of event literature items, updating content (as and when required)  Copy writing for Marketing communications as required  KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Experience Proven and Substantial experience in Events Management, with particular experience in dealing with a demanding workload and managing conflicting timescales and priorities, and experience of working on marketing campaigns and communications Public speaking and leadership skills  Excellent organisational skills  Self-motivated and team player   Creative Thinker  Powerpoint presentation skills  Proficient with Social Media  Strong MS Excel & Analytical skills  Using Photoshop and InDesign Flexibility to work weekends and extended hours (where appropriate) in order to attend and manage events as well as to meet event preparation deadlines. Domestic / International overnight travel required approximately 5% of work time.
