Overview

Role : Marketing Manager – Professional Services Location : Central London Salary : £45,000 to £50,000 £3k car allowance Benefits : 25 days leave, up to 10% bonus, Pension, Life Assurance, Bupa Flex-bens Most marketing roles you see these days are really specialised. Owning a small part of the marketing mix, funnelling you to become a master of just one piece of the puzzle. So you work your way up the corporate ladder and get yourself closer to the top of the tree. Then you realise an issue. Being a master of one piece means the move to Director is hard, because your ‘specialism’ means you’re missing elements of experience necessary to be able to take on what now become broader remits covering multiple workstreams across that same marketing mix. Wouldn’t it be great to gain that exposure now, to cover the full customer and marketing mix, whilst also leading a small team. Making you able to tick every competency and experience box necessary, so you’re ready for when that big job op comes knocking in a few years time. What’s on the table This is a full marketing mix remit covering full customer lifestage. Lead generation and conversion through multiple channels including events, PR & comms, direct marketing, etc. As well as in-life engagement and CRM communications, utilising CRM tools (Interaction) and ESP platforms. Plus other projects which look at how they might engage colleagues (current and former) with Alumni programmes to help drive recruitment, retention and engagement, as well as share ideas and best practices. The Company They’re a professional services company who, in the last few years, have outgrown their London site and so will be moving to shiny new offices later on this year (still in Central London). Currently the London site is around 350 people, but have multiple other sites across the UK too. Despite their size, they emphasise their focus on traditional family values. Including good work/life balance. This includes investment in Agile working, so can support aspects of working from home. As well as a positive working environment and a marketing function with established credibility with Partners, enabling them to explore new projects and opportunities for introducing innovation. The marketing team is a central function to the business. Supporting all its different service offerings and offices. It’s a close nit team made up of around 9 people all based out of the London site. Externally the company represents quite a corporate image to the external market, to align with the seriousness of their core service offering. However internally, you will find it’s more relaxed, and people genuinely enjoy what they do because of this. The role itself You will report into to the Head of Marketing and be directly responsible for a team of 2 Executives. As mentioned previously, your remit will cover the full marketing mix. Work tends to be very project based, and a couple of the initial projects to get your teeth into initially will include the introduction of an Alumni programme (strategy and execution), as well as supporting on some digital transformation and revamp projects (principally oversight and strategic input) too. Alongside these will be your core focus – targeting large corporate customers with a broad mix marketing programme, covering both strategy and execution, and across both prospect and existing customers. Looking to drive lead generation, the conversion funnel as well as projects looking to drive cross and upsell where additional value opportunities exist within those clients. Campaigns, events and communications should align to help raise the company’s reputation, increase recognition for their various service offerings and build on existing relationships. So if you’re looking for an opportunity with scope for growth and breadth of remit. You’d be hard pushed to beat this one. Experience necessary Got to have marketing experience within a professional services environment under your belt. So you understand the dynamics, and how to get things done in a Partner based environment Have covered end to end marketing projects – strategy through to delivery and results Comfortable taking on a broad marketing remit Positive attitude to new things and able to evidence this in your past experience too – taking on projects which have expanded your marketing horizon Professional qualification in marketing would be ideal (e.g. CIM) You’ve likely managed someone before, or at least been responsible for mentoring and developing someone.
