Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of the world's largest, fully-integrated law firms as a Design Manager with overarching responsibility for the quality and timeliness of delivery of design services to UK, EMEA and US offices. As the most senior creative in the London design team, you will be responsible for creating engaging visuals and providing creative direction to the team. Working with the Head of Design and Director Brand & Marketing, you will be expected to transform the design service in London to be a high performing, and strategic function and must lead a creative and efficient design team, and build and maintain a positive, collaborative, high performing culture. The Design Manager will work with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation to understand their requirements, and think strategically and outside the box to meet their needs. Appropriately prioritising work, using a strong understanding of the business and strong negotiation skills, the role holder will need to manage workflow, allocating work to ensure quality and efficiency, including splitting jobs between London and Mumbai teams, and ensuring the team uses production schedules as required. Always looking for ways to improve processes and achieve best practice and ensuring these are shared and aligned with the global design service, the role holder will review design briefs to ensure sufficient information is supplied, ensure design products are delivered on time and at the appropriate level of quality and contribute to the ongoing evolution of the visual brand, whilst promoting brand awareness and consistency in accordance with the brand guidelines. The ideal candidate for this challenging role will be able to demonstrate a strong track record as a leader and manager of both people and process within a demanding creative design environment and experience and knowledge of applying corporate brand guidelines in a professional services firm, ideally a law firm. It is essential that you are an advanced user of Adobe Creative Suite, Word and PowerPoint and, in addition, are organised, perform under pressure, deliver consistent design work and possess excellent attention to detail.
