Business Change Manager for a leading university in Manchester City Centre on a 18 month FTC Your new company A leading university in Manchester City Centre. The company is committed to developing and maintaining highly usable, fast, flexible and personalised Information Systems services that reflect the changing needs of the university. Your new role This post plays a vital role in directing and overseeing engagement and organisational change strategies for their Information Systems Strategy and Strategic Investment Roadmap across the company. They will support both the ISDS organisation and the University as a whole in the design and implementation of engagement and change strategies to ensure that the investment in information systems capabilities can be fully leveraged to deliver organisational benefits. They will work as an integral part of the ISDS senior management team and provide professional expertise and guidance to ISDS managers in the areas of organisational change, communications and customer engagement. They will also work directly with senior stakeholders throughout the University to ensure that the communications, engagement and change activities associated with the IS strategy and strategic investment roadmap are aligned with their requirements. Develop detailed organisational change plans in direct support of the University IS strategy and strategic investment roadmap encompassing engagement, communications and change plans, designed to ensure the University maximises the value from this £30 million investment in new and updated technologies. Work closely with stakeholders, including academic and professional staff, throughout all stages of the service lifecycle (strategy, design, transition & operations) to ensure they have access to the requisite knowledge management, training and communications resources to allow them to gain maximum value from these systems and services. To line manage communications and engagement professionals working within ISDS and to be responsible for the recruitment, selection, induction, probationary review and performance management of these staff. To increase engagement with services offered by ISDS by developing, managing, and implementing a marketing and communications strategy that targets our range of stakeholders. Establish and maintain ongoing relationships across the University's key executives and other stakeholders to ensure ISDS has a strong understanding of their organisational change requirements. To develop a coherent visual identity for ISDS that is innovative, inspiring and conforms to university and Services brand guidelines, and to co-ordinate the implementation of this branding across the service and the current marketing, communication and information provision. To develop and maintain a customer engagement strategy and framework for ISDS that drives a strong customer focus amongst ISDS teams and ensures a consistently high quality of customer engagement techniques and approaches. To maintain and share up to date knowledge of best-practice in the areas of customer & stakeholder engagement, communications and organisational change in the digital domain, and provide vital input into the IS strategic planning process. Support ISDS leadership in communicating the overall ISDS value contribution to the University, and to cement the understanding that organisational change is essential to the realisation of the IS strategy. What you'll need to succeed: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to convey complex concepts with clarity and confidence to different audiences, via a range of media. In depth knowledge of Marketing and Business Engagement Strategies. Educated to Degree level in business or marketing In-depth knowledge of customer engagement and business relationship management strategies and practices within an IT context. Possess up-to-date experience of digital marketing and social media skills suitable to a service delivery environment. Up to date knowledge of current and emerging marketing & communications trends and how they relate to the organisational needs and priorities of ISDS.
