Overview
Our client are a leading talent development agency, creative producer, music educator and consultancy specialising in jazz. They nurture nascent talent and help aspiring young artists discover their magic, achieve creative ambitions, and build engaged, diverse audiences. They champion diversity, inclusion and equality. Whilst inclusive, their pioneering Young Artist Development Programme primarily supports the early careers of young musicians from BAME backgrounds, female musicians and those whose financial or other circumstances might lock them out of opportunities to pursue a career in the music industry. This is a great opportunity for a motivated individual to join an ambitious and creative team. Working closely with their small team, Marketing and Development Managers, SMT and CEO, you will help raise the profile of our clients business through social media and other communications channels and drive growth through fundraising events, community fundraising, support their individual donors programme. Outline of main duties: General Development and Engagement Communications and Marketing Person Specification : Innovative, creative and results oriented, you will have strong interpersonal skills together with a flexible and proactive approach. Key requirements - Skills, Knowledge and Experience Excellent administrative, organisational, planning and record keeping skills. Excellent English oral and written communication skills; ability to tailor these as needed to different audiences. IT literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and competency in using database (any) to manage information. Ability to work under own initiative to prioritise and manage multiple and varied tasks. Proven project management skills. Experience managing and growing social media channels and experience creating content, blogs or news pieces to advance a cause. Experience in fundraising, marketing and/or communications, particularly in the third sector. Experience of working with CMS, updating websites and managing social media profiles for organisations. Experience with CRM such as MailChimp for creating online newsletters. Excellent IT skills including competency in using a CRM database to manage donor tracking and reporting. Knowledge of the charity/not for profit sector. Desirable Marketing or Communications qualifications Experience managing volunteers/fundraisers to deliver community activities or challenge events.
