Scope of the role The purpose of this role is to support the Head of Communications in the delivery of the Group’s communications and marketing activities. You will have to be a self-starter and responsible for delivery of programmes of activity, supporting and reporting into the Head of Communications. We are looking with someone with four to five years’ experience of working either in an agency or in-house team with exceptional writing skills. Experience within the oil industry would be a bonus. Main duties  Writing: ability to produce content across channels, including: corporate communications, press releases, digital platforms and marketing materials - copy for campaigns and brand materials.  Develop and manage internal communications: help to develop, implement and manage group wide communications, including the intranet, newsletters etc.  Thinking creatively to develop all areas of the company’s internal and external profile through communications and marketing  Develop copy for consumer and trade marketing campaigns both in the UK and internationally  Corporate Social Responsibility: support and manage localised CSR initiatives at operations  Digital and Social media: Manage channel’s content creation including copy and videos  Crisis communications: provide support to Head of Communications Personal qualities and prior experience  Down to earth, pro-active, determined and focused to deliver results  Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, and willingness to work as a team  Motivation to learn quickly and demonstrate maturity in a fast moving and dynamic environment  Ability to set clear goals and manage multiple assignments  Strategic and intuitive thinker with the ability to provide creative solutions  Strong organisational capabilities with excellent attention to detail  Excellent verbal and written communications skills and ability to articulate ideas clearly, convincingly and concisely to both business and consumer audiences  Ability to grasp technical issues and communicate clearly through written materials  Previous experience of dealing with the media would be a bonus.  Familiarity with and understanding of social media and content generation both written and visual  Four to five years’ experience of working either in an agency or inhouse team  Experience within the oil or energy industries would be a bonus People are key to our continuing success; we work hard to reward, develop and retain staff.
