Overview

Role Purpose Within GVC’s Central Analysis team you will be part of a team of analysts driving high-profile strategic and operational initiatives, delivering marketing and business insights, and making recommendations for short and long-term decisions. This will require you to query the data warehouse (and other sources) to extract and prepare behavioural and transactional datasets in preparation for analysis. You will perform analysis on large data sets and apply modelling techniques, identifying data patterns and trends and compile recommendations for business. You will also be required to understand user requirements, design and distribute regular reports. Primary Responsibilities: Carry out insight projects and analyses Translate business requirements into meaningful KPIs and standardised reports to monitor and drive the business Collect, organise, analyse and interpret data and statistical information to extrapolate behaviour and patterns from the data that will provide innovation direction and use cases back to the business using SQL and visualisation tools such as Tableau Understand business performance and explain the story behind the numbers Prepare data set for the analysis by querying the data warehouse or using reporting resources available Identify opportunities to improve business/marketing performance Provide inputs to business on the conversion of analysis findings into actions Monitor business wide trends behind the big KPIs, alerting on trends that could become issues Knowledge/Expertise/Qualifications: Advanced analytical skills, ability to derive value from data Proficient in the use of SQL or similar languages (such as python) Database experience including experience in coding across commercial databases Experience in reporting tools Tableau / Microstrategy or similar Must have a mathematical background or have worked in an analytical role previously Logical approach to problem solving Familiarity with eGaming KPIs, terminology and business model is an advantage Ability to understand complex multi-level data and make recommendations Self-driven investigative skills (knows tools, knows how to use them when and how to create a certain result), high maturity level in self (time) management Ability to turn complex concepts and business questions into actionable recommendations An ability to deliver high quality work under pressure of tight deadlines Strong communication skills to communicate results of analysis and educate business of the findings (and fluent in both written and spoken English)
