Overview

Our market leading client, based in Basildon, is looking for a permanent Programme Manager to join the business to lead, deliver and be accountable for all aspects of the S3 UK Rotary Wing Business Area and responsible for the development of new business opportunities and optimisation of Rotary Wing support arrangements across the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of Rotary Wing strategic partnerships and mutual value creation with our customers and partners. They will provide effective leadership to the S3 UK Rotary Wing Team, partners and key suppliers. Typical Accountabilities: Accountable for all aspects of Rotary Wing Programme delivery - Current Order book £73m. Leading Rotary Wing Contract Negotiations for UK MoD, LHD and BDUK business. Accountable for harmonisation and optimisation of Rotary Wing inter Divisional Avionic Support Solutions covering UK MoD and Military Export (MILEX) support solutions. Coordinates and leads multi-LoB and cross-divisional campaigns. Accountable for all aspects of RW Relationship Management covering UK MoD, (L)HD and partners, as well as for developing and leading new Supplier Alliances in conjunction with existing partners. Accountable for the capture of the IBP order intake commitments within Rotary Wing and maturing NIFNIR and Reserve opportunities into Forecast. Accountable for delivering Sales, Profit and Margin for UK RW Programmes and for the effective management and leadership of the S3 UK Rotary Wing program delivery organisation. Accountable for driving a culture of continuous improvement into S3 UK Rotary Wing programmes to ensure improving business performance and ensuring KPIs are achieved across UK RW Programmes. Key Responsibility Areas Achievement of the IBP Order intake target for their programmes within the S3 UK RW Business Area, as well as achievement of S3 UK RW IBP for the Programme Delivery elements, sales, EBIT and cash. Consistent delivery of a robust IBP forecast for growth in line with business expectations and strategy. Strong network of internal and external partners generated and maintained, while new prospects are identified, qualified and developed - captured using campaign plans, SAP and IBP entries. All programmes delivered to performance, time, quality and budget. Proactive identification and understanding of key customer requirements and market trends to allow alignment of business investment. Input to the CTO/Capability function for timely planning of technology/product development (and related investment analysis) to address future markets. Market and competitor analysis input contributed. Positive contributions into the wider S3 (UK) business. Skills, Qualifications & Knowledge Required Demonstrable track record in both winning and delivering business. Solid understanding of Military (both UK and export markets) Rotary Wing Avionics Support Solutions. Credible and confident in engaging with senior executive management in customer and partner organisations. Proven track record in building and leading multidisciplinary teams for campaigns, bids and delivery programmes. Extensive experience working with major primes and other defence industry partners and suppliers in the UK market. Strong business acumen / commercial, able to clearly articulate complex route to contract processes, as well as ability to identify, develop and implement risk and opportunity sharing mechanisms within our Customer Environment. Providing campaign leadership to current account and TSS Partners, as well as providing Programme Management Leadership to delivery teams utilising technical, programme & commercial know how to deliver Sales, Margin and Profit as well as achieving contract KPIs. The role will involve working on UK classified programmes the candidate must therefore be willing and able to obtain a security clearance to SC.
