Overview

One of my favourite clients are now looking for a NPD projects individual. This is a super organisation that has many wondeful product offerings. The NPD manager will be the focal link between marketing and warehouse in order to ensure that shipments are deliverd in time for launch. Please note thus this is NOT a creative role- but very much a coordination and project led one. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES  NPD management: o Develop products briefed by Marketing team in accordance with company’s target and supplier matrix o Establish clear timelines and ensure relevant teams follow through with tasks by established key dates o Responsible for all NPD communication with suppliers including explaining projects, gathering costs, coordinating lead-times, requesting samples, sending product specifications, etc. o Update Project Management system o Ensure all new products have been tested, assessed and approved by Regulatory Dpt in advance of order placement o Organise NPD GATE meetings with relevant key stakeholders o Attend and manage weekly meetings with UK and US teams o Escalate issues and delays promptly for speedy resolution o Handover of relevant product information to Purchasing, QC and Sales teams o Maintain all NPD related information up-to-date and correctly saved for easy access  o Communicate the timings of UK orders to Sales and Marketing and NPD US o Obtain cost, codes o Liaise with teams to ensure forecasts/ presentations match PO times o Present prices and margins to sales and Marketing (profitable project) before proceeding o Create specs if required o Chase UK labels making and approval in time and with all teams OK (often UK teams left out) o Set up in the system/ Handover to purchasing
