Strategy, Insights and Partnerships Manager £28.84 p/h Basildon, Essex This is a temporary role until 14/4/2020. - IMMEDIATE START REQUIRED Pursuit Resources Group are looking to recruit for the position of a Strategy, Insights and Partnerships Manager, based in Basildon, Essex. Successful candidates will have direct responsibility for leading on many elements of the client's policy, strategy, research and consultation functions. The main responsibilities for the job include: Leading and developing the maintenance of the policy and strategy frameworks Leading the development of strategic and corporate policies on behalf of elected members and senior leadership team Developing the approach to consultation and engagement and ensuring this is adopted across the organisation Lead the strategy, insights and partnerships team. Coordinate the development of robust evidence and research to support policy development, projects, and service design. Maintain oversight of emerging legislation, policy drivers, best practice & guidance, identifying potential impacts on, and opportunities for. Develop the corporate data research and analysis capabilities to inform the decisions of the Senior Leadership Team and Elected Members, as well as supporting the research and analysis needs of individual services Conduct regular one-to-one, team meetings and individual performance reviews with direct reports. Identify and respond to staff training needs and comply with relevant policies and procedures such as equal opportunities, diversity, and sickness reporting, discipline and grievance procedures. Our client is looking for a candidate who can demonstrate the following skills and experience: Extensive demonstrable experience of leading the development of policies and strategies across an organisation of comparable size, complexity, and status Experience of successfully working with senior elected members in a dynamic political environment to deliver on agreed outcomes Up-to-date knowledge of the legislative framework the council works within and the wider operating environment Well-developed knowledge of the importance of research and data in decision making Experience of leading large-scale consultation exercises Experience of leading significant projects with delivered outcomes Experience of working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders from across organisations, including the most senior officers Experience of leading a small team, ensuring the best performance is achieved by individuals Ability to work under pressure, under own direction, in a high-pace environment, balancing demands from a range of stakeholders Ability to produce high-quality written work, including reports, briefings, and articles, as required Educated to degree level or equivalent Membership of a professional body would be desirable If you feel you fit the requirements for this role and would like to discuss in more detail please contact Caroline Cubitt .
