Overview
Our client, an established and recognised brand within the Fintech retail banking space has an immediate opening for a Head of Compliance to join the business. The Head of Compliance, reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, will be responsible for the compliance function. As the SMF16 you will be the accountable individual for compliance oversight and will form part of the Enterprise Risk Management Committee, the Board Risk and Audit Committee and attend Board meetings as required. The Head of Compliance (SMF16) will be responsible for; Establishment and management of the Group Oversight function to provide 2nd Line assurance of the business with a specific focus on Conduct. Development of the annual Compliance Monitoring Plan to identify document and assess compliance risk across the business Production of monthly compliance reports for the ExCo and Board of Directors Alerting the Board to potential non-compliant areas of the business and advise on action to address Promotion of compliance through the business to ensure staff are aware of the regulatory obligations Assess the compliance of new products or services and devise and update procedures accordingly. The successful applicant will demonstrate; Senior leadership experience within a retail banking or consumer lending environment Experience of and comfort in Board Liaison Being acceptable to the Regulator as a 'fit and proper' person to hold Senior Management/Controlled Function Extensive experience in leading a compliance function Ability to influence senior leaders with the gravitas to challenge and affect change If you are interested to learn more about this position and you demonstrate the required skills and experience, then please apply now.
