Publications Executive in Bracknell Your new company An exciting new opportunity within the public sector as a public affairs officer, based in Bracknell. Your new role Reporting to the Policy & Public Affairs Manager, the Public Affairs Officer will provide support to ensure that the Institute is well positioned within the UK Government, as well as the devolved administrations and wider policy community, to help influence the regulation of construction. Key responsibilities include: Developing and implementing a stakeholder engagement programme for policy makers and external stakeholders Plan and organise political engagement events Monitoring policy developments and identifying opportunities Representing organisation in the public domain, organising and attending meetings Drafting responses to parliament and government consultations Supporting the policy and public affairs manager in evaluating performance Providing policy advice and support Overseeing social media presence What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role it is essential: To be educated to degree level Strong interpersonal skills Knowledge of UK government processes, with ability to assess and make recommendations for policy development Exceptional writing skills Desirable qualities include: Ability to manage groups and facilitate discussion Networking Skills Experience in working within professional government body Experience in maintaining a professional social media presence What you'll get in return If successful, you will receive a highly competitive salary.
