Overview

An award winning global PR agency are looking to expand their presence in the UK by recruiting a London based Managing Director. Based in stylish Central London office space and reporting directly to the CEO, the Managing Director will be responsible for identifying and driving new business opportunities, creating and winning new business proposals, managing a portfolio of accounts and leading on both UK and global campaigns. You’ll be responsible for managing top-level client relationships and providing strategic advice to clients, whilst coaching, mentoring and supervising all staff. Key to this position is developing the agency’s brand awareness and presence in the UK as well as supporting the group strategy and development. In addition, the chosen candidate must demonstrate capability of owning and managing P&L to drive sustainable profitable growth and be responsible for the monthly reporting and analysis to the Board. Besides a previous demonstrable track record of being a PR Agency Director, the type of profile that would suit this position is someone who inspires and motivates those around them to continue personal and professional improvement. You must demonstrate a strong entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to work in and with multiple cultures. The incumbent must work with common sense and logic, have experience in problem solving whilst appeasing and managing multiple stakeholders. They must be persuasive and get the most out of those around them. In addition, given the responsibility at hand, they must be resilient leaders who have experience of crisis-management and proficient organisational skills. Previous British PR exposure is a must and you’ll need to have worked across a variety of sectors. With a minimum of 5 years experience in a senior Director capacity, applications are welcome from people looking to take the next step up in their careers - entrepeneurial flair, curiosity and ambition are welcomed in spades The individual should be able to mirror and compliment the present client portfolio as well as bring the network for expansion into other industries or directions. With this in mind, it is most likely that the individual will have experience in much larger PR agencies, although applications are welcome from individuals who can demonstrate previous successes in building PR teams from the ground up. Additional European languages are also an advantage as the role will involve extensive travel With a generous salary in the region of £100,000 to £120,000, stock options, bonus and flexible benefits package, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone to really make their mark within a growing organisation and share in its success.
