Overview

The Role This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Head of Product to join a leading art business. We are looking for a highly passionate, self-motivated and driven individual who has a strong understanding of product, project and solution delivery. The successful Head of Product will take ownership of the entire digital and mobile roadmap of technology products and should have proven experience working on large scale products. This important role is responsible for technology leadership and strategic oversite of our Client facing digital and mobile products, including the Christie's website and mobile app. The head of product will manage and oversee Product Owners working on exciting digital and mobile initiatives to support Christies' digital transformation objectives.You will lead a team focused on driving and improving business value through best in class digital experiences to deliver customer satisfaction across digital platforms. As an excellent communicator, you will champion the role our digital channels can play in our commercial success. You will support client facing digital initiatives which underpin major programmes of work, while driving the implementation of products, features and new, innovative, experiences working with internal and external partners.As a senior technology leader you will work closely with the marketing, sales and business development teams and will be an expert in your field, guiding the product design and delivery teams through end to end projects. Specific duties & responsibilities will include but are not limited to Capture the tactical and strategic enterprise goals and provide traceability through the organization and are mapped to metrics that provide ongoing governance Build and maintain excellent working relationships with Christie's Product Owners, other Heads of Product and the Architecture group, ensuring a collaborative approach to product delivery so you proactively represent and advocate them and the products they oversee Combine your business expertise with the technical capabilities in your group to create content and reference materials to support communications, governance, business engagement and change management activities for technology products, across Christie's business Support the annual budgeting process for Enterprise Products and provide guidance to the team of Product Owners in annual product and vendor budgeting Support the management of vendor SLAs related to the ongoing delivery and support of Enterprise Products Take smart risks to push the team forward Maintain the very high standard of design work that already exists within in the product and design team Guide Product Owners on best practice to translate design and UX concepts into user flows, wireframes, mock ups and prototypes Mentor the team and maintain a collaborative and positive work environment As an experienced people manager, you will embrace the philosophy of radical candour. You will ensure your team's development and career paths are understood and there are clear development plans and opportunities Advocate for the technology solutions in your area and increase their visibility across the company through the forums/department meetings/debriefs you attend Leverage your business expertise and acumen to collaborate with your group on the development of business cases, benefits tracking, project initiation documentation and other project artefacts Lead key technology steering committees and governance forums Develop and maintain a business friendly 'plan on a page' style roadmaps for CTG and provide continuous oversite of it for the technology delivery teams within your domain Participate in 3rd party vendor governance forums to ensure there is a feedback loop to and from the business The Candidate Degree in Business Administration, Art Business or similar - MBA preferred 5 years of experience in Leadership roles, associate director or higher, in a project or governance centred role with a global focus 10 years of experience in marketing, technology and/or project roles in a matrix management environment You must be inspirational and have evidence of past success in developing a brands online presence Display previous experience of managing a team to successfully deliver a product offering that contributes towards revenue/ success targets Experience as a project or programme manager with experience on multi-stream delivery Understanding of the marketing funnel, digital and omni channel marketing experiences and ability to demonstrate meaningful experience in delivering solutions which increased customer conversion Extensive experience as a Product Owner or Senior Product Manager looking after multiple teams Experience shaping sales, operations and product driven initiatives Ability to ensure the product streams are running efficiently and effectively Strong stakeholder engagement skills Fantastic communication both written and verbal Strong and proven team leadership skills. A broad, enterprise-wide view of the business and varying degrees of appreciation for strategy, processes and capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance The ability to recognize structural issues within the organization, functional interdependencies and cross-silo redundancies The ability to apply architectural principles to business solutions The ability to assimilate and correlate disconnected documentation and drawings, and articulate their collective relevance to the organization and to high-priority business issues The ability to visualize and create high-level models that can be used in future analysis to extend and mature the business architecture Extensive experience planning and deploying both business and IT initiatives Highly commercial, analytical and results driven operating style Proven ability to manage 3rd party vendor budgets and performance
