Events & Programme Manager - B2B Events £28,000 - £32,000 £5,000 Bonus Benefits Our client is family run events business with a proud 27 history and is widely recognised as a leader within it’s core markets. Due to consistent growth during 2019 and into 2020, the need has arisen to hire an Event & Programme Manager. As the Event and Programme Manager you will report into and support the Head of Operations, working cohesively on the end-to-end management of our client’s events, which include 4 B2B networking events, held in five-star hotels in different European capital cities, Dubai and 3 conferences in London and Bangkok. Operations - Events & Programme Manager: Manage pre-event preparation and delegate bookings using our client’s dedicated event management system and ongoing liaison with delegates from booking to post event Liaison with clients, providing pre-event guidance and support - manage delegate requirements, obtaining and recording flights and travel information along with regularly updating and following up attendees for critical information in advance of their attendance Assisting with the running of the events on site, handling client queries and troubleshooting on the day of the event to ensure that all events run smoothly Plan and run events, working to time constraints Researching, confirming and liaising with speakers to create speaker programmes across a series of events including sourcing keynote speakers Researching and sourcing potential delegates and sponsor leads for conferences with the purpose of generating sales revenue. Post-event follow-up, evaluation and analysis including collating survey feedback, improving future events and streamlining processes Help researching and booking venues, hotels and dinner spaces There will be additional office management elements to the role include maintaining office supplies, carrying out certain administrative tasks and dealing with external office suppliers Marketing/branding - Events & Programme Manager Marketing and copywriting skills desirable Ensuring all event website information is current and updated for each event Working closely with the Marketing Executive, creating, planning and implementing marketing campaigns including printed adverts, mailers, banners and Twitter and LinkedIn campaigns Assist with producing event documentation, branded materials and printed items Sourcing and negotiating marketing and contra agreements with relevant publications Budget management - Events & Programme Manager: External research including negotiating companies for best prices on coaches/badges/signage Raise invoices and manage in-house financial systems efficiently Keep a detailed record of all expenditure and costs for the budget Profile of Candidate - Events & Programme Manager: A competent event manager who will thrive in a busy but fun environment, and who exemplifies our client’s company values. They will oversee, organise and manage the whole process from the planning stage, right through to running the events to post-event evaluation. You will also have an interest in the involvement of developing the programme for all events. This will include speaker generation, liaising with speakers for both the events in order to create programme sessions for our events. To be considered for the role, you MUST be able to demonstrate the following core skills and competencies: Proven experience in event management (minimum 3 years) Ability to work independently and assume responsibility for the delivery of all of our events Strong communications skills - both written and verbal Strong academic qualifications Excellent attention to detail and proof-reading skills Excellent organisational skills, able to work under pressure and within tight timelines Ability to confidently liaise with contacts at all levels Experience in using all standard Microsoft programmes is essential A self-starter who is able to work independently and as part of a team 'Can-do’ attitude and a willingness to be flexible if business priorities change Outgoing personality - you will enjoy interacting with clients and colleagues both in the office and onsite at events Lipton Media is a dynamic, proactive and progressive media recruitment agency solely dedicated to the media industry.
