Overview

At Allianz, we have an exciting opportunity for a PR Consultant to join an established team of PR professionals based in our Guildford Head Office, protecting and promoting the reputation of Allianz through a range of public relations activities. The team supports all areas of the Allianz business including Commercial and Personal Lines, Operations, HR and Claims with a primary focus on the insurance trade media. Reporting to the Head of Communications, the responsibilities include: Devising and implementing a programme of PR activity in collaboration with other members of the communications team Building and maintaining a network of relationships with targeted journalists and editors, primarily in the insurance trade media Acting as a trusted and expert advisor to spokespeople across Allianz and work with them to promote the company, our services and propositions through the media Monitoring and evaluating media performance in cooperation with external consultancies where appropriate Developing content for social media and being part of the team managing this channel Looking for opportunities to extend the reach of Allianz's PR activity into new areas in support of the company strategy and priorities Writing media releases, blogs and other content for external communications Playing a part in the content strategy group across the market management team to ensure coordination of activity around agreed and shared topics and objectives Skills and Experience: To be a success in this role, you will have the following: Proven experience working in a PR role, either in house or in as a PR account management/agency Liaising with the media Creative writing for different audiences Relationship management Acting as a trusted, expert advisor to senior management Social media writing and management
