Overview
The Business Established in 2009 this tech start-up works with leading research organisations around the world to help them identify, capture and report the impact of their work, this is achieved through a range of services including training workshops, consultancy services and it’s unique proprietary platform. The Job You will join this small but ambitious team as a Digital Marketing intern to help deliver the company’s marketing strategy and develop brand awareness amongst university research departments both in the UK and internationally. The location of this job is split between offices in Kings Cross, Bourne End (Bucks) and working remotely. This is dependent on work requirements, but the general split will be two days per week in Kings Cross, two days remotely and one day in Bourne End. Job breakdown: • Assist in the development of a website traffic plan to create goals and benchmarks for increasing traffic. • Produce regular marketing reports to identify areas of success and improvement. • Support the optimisation website and social channels for SEO best practice. • Conduct SEO keyword research. • Liaise with (outsourced) content and artwork providers. • Explore paid search strategy and test with marketing budget for meaningful results. • Be a point of contact for partners such as affiliate networks, outsourced PR agencies and internal stakeholders. • Create and distribute email marketing campaigns. • Assist with the look and feel of website. • Contribute to social media engagement and brand awareness campaign. • Develop and integrate content marketing strategies into the wider marketing strategy. • Keep up to date with the latest digital trends. • Negotiate with media suppliers to achieve the best price. Who Fits the Bill? • Educated to degree level. • Passionate about a career in digital marketing. • Experienced user of all major social media channels. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. • Strong working knowledge of all MS Office products. • Excellent time management skills. • Proactive and independent worker who is comfortable working between two offices (Kings Cross and Thames Valley) and also working remotely. • Enthusiastic about trying new technologies and apps. Bonus points for: • Qualification related to Marketing. • Any prior knowledge of email marketing, lead generation or SEO campaigns • Experience in research or impact of research. • Experience working in the University and or Research sector. • Experience working in the IT or SaaS sectors. • Knowledge of HTML and CSS. • Fluency in a 2nd language.
