Overview

Clarify are partnering with a market-leading Global technology organisation who are recruiting a Sales Development Director. This is a pivotal role for the success of the SMN Business Unit in the region. Position Description: This individual is responsible for meeting and/or exceeding yearly sales quota for multiple teams and segments/countries. The role requires a strong blend of leaderships skills, data driven execution, ability to manage multiple complex stakeholder needs as well as drive vision and strategy for a rapidly expanding sales development team. Market Development Strategy Develop and implement long-term Market Development strategies across multiple regions/segments geared toward developing greater market share and profitability. Set a clear vision and purpose for the team. Be a key contributor in the development of strategic and operating plans for Market Development. Plan and implement sales coverage models, compensation plans, incentives and initiatives to meet goals. Leadership Development Coach up to 3-6 Market Development Managers/Senior Managers to ensure they exceed revenue and productivity goals. Develop and lead coaching programs and conversations for all Managers. Lead quarterly talks with Managers. Support setting development plans and goals for direct reports. Provide regular informal and formal performance feedback to direct reports. Territory/Segment Strategy Partner with VP Sales to align on territories and strategies across segments and countries. Ensure clear rules of engagement from Marketing to Market Development and from Market Development to Sales. Drive continuous improvement in territory alignment, target account strategy and alignment. Cross Functional Alignment Work with Sales and Marketing & Communications functions to formulate strategy and select key target markets, identify prospective customers, and identify unmet customer needs. Work to identify processes needed to meet those needs. Coordinate with Marketing to define the value proposition to the market. Incorporate your knowledge of the industry to partner with Enablement to develop supporting materials. Work effectively with sales teams and actively participating in leadership level meetings across sales and cross-functionally. Be the catalyst between Sales, Marketing and Market Development Productivity and Performance Drive rigorous sales development execution and oversight, and KPI management including hourly/daily metrics, forecasting, and pipeline management. Finds new ways of getting more productivity from the existing team. Use a creative mindset in thinking about driving MDR productivity and pipeline growth. Understand and be a leader in key legislation affecting the team and advocate for compliance and best practice in mitigating impacts. Look internally and externally for ideas to continuously improve practices and performance. Champion change with Market Development managers to improve performance and innovate in prospecting. Recruitment, Onboarding and Retention Oversee recruitment for Market Development Representatives. Proactively plan and recruit for leadership roles. Support managers to deliver onboarding and training in a strategic way. Innovation and Creativity Lead innovation in prospecting. Foster adoption of leading-edge technologies, processes and practices and with managers drives implementation of new practices into the team. Key Focus Areas: Skills: Significant experience managing multi-channel outbound and inbound engagement strategy that includes targeting, outbound drip campaigns and support for website visitors, chat, email, phone, and event-driven interest Exceptional relationship building skills, ability to collaborate & sell internally to achieve targets Strong financial & business acumen, and an understanding of our Client's Strategy and goals with the ability to translate these into high-impact actionable plans Passion to challenge, improve and innovate at both a personal and organizational level Ability to interpret & analyse data; make data-driven recommendations Divergent thinker who can find creative solutions to business problems Self-disciplined with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage a variety of highvisibility, high-impact initiatives Outstanding verbal and written communication skills Experience: • 4 years of experience of leading a team as a manager; preferably managing multiple teams • 4 years of experience working in a fast-paced technology/SaaS company
