The Organisation Noord Ltd. is recognised for its delivery of market-leading business events catering to the networking and information needs of Europe’s CIOs, CISOs, CMOs and technology leaders across multiple sectors. The Role We are currently focused on structuring the business for growth, building roles that allow producers with a passion for the product to progress quickly - specifically we are recruiting for a Portfolio Director to develop current brands and work with the Head of Production to develop new ideas and new formats in new markets. Reporting to the Head of Production, this Conference Producer role, with at least 1 years’ experience, is most suited to someone with a strong product focus and entrepreneurial outlook who is capable of working autonomously to deepen knowledge and relationships within their industry(s). A candidate will be required and empowered to produce launch events, maximising sponsorship and delegate potential. Furthermore, more established events must be taken to the next level. Management skills will be developed in order to direct and maximize the performance of the project team working on each event. Progression Portfolio performance targets are in place in line with Noord’s vision for brand extension, geo-replication and community build. These act as trigger points to expand the portfolio of events which will ultimately involve the recruitment, training and development of producers to build scale. Conference Producer will start to build his/her own team, continuing to lead strategy and topic generation for the portfolio. Skills that will be developed: strategic thinking, commerciality, team management , accountability, sales skills, topic generation Detailed Role Description: Portfolio Growth & Development Entrepreneurial - enjoys and thrives under the pressure of running their own business unit and is able to make sound financial decisions Autonomous Role: Has sole management responsibility for their own portfolio of events Responsible for long term vision of the portfolio and team leadership to transform a portfolio of events into a strong and credible industry brand Portfolio and revenue growth through new channels (exploring other products & revenue streams) Generating spin-off events and formats through industry relationships Establishing and running industry working groups, communities and market intelligence for content development and depth of market knowledge as well as enhancing brand integrity Proactively generate clear strategies to continuously grow revenue on their portfolio of events Commerciality & Sponsorship Support Take a proactive role in driving progress on sponsorship and delegate acquisition campaigns Demonstrate exceptional commercial acumen and ability to spot where the money is in any given market Take the lead in creating new and innovative sponsorship opportunities on established events Gain a clear understanding of the sponsorship sales process Thorough mapping of sponsorship universe Develop relationships with key sponsors, actively moving deals through to close through joint calls and meetings with clients Continually seeking partnerships and growth opportunities for events and demonstrates deal-making ability Engage much more in the initiation and progression of sponsorship deals and start taking some of them through to completion in tandem with the sponsorship rep Adding value to pipeline meetings Understanding of target setting and holding sponsorship accountable to targets In future could be acting as a key account manager for certain sponsorship clients - building lasting relationships to boost revenue Topic Generation & Validation Generating new topics in new industries and keeping a pipeline of topics live Validation on launch topics On launches: developing a vendor validation strategy, business case and full topic brief Strategy & Leadership Demonstrates innovation in production, marketing and sponsorship Will devise the sponsorship and marketing strategies for their events and maximise the performance of the whole project team Is a talented independent topic generator and is able to communicate new topic ideas to the entire company Has the ability and desire to run training sessions for other producers Demonstrate a greater understanding and interest in the business as a whole Has the respect of all teams working on their events Has the ability to conduct training sessions for new recruits on specific topics Forward-looking business builder Performance Goals Demonstrate ability to grow events in the portfolio beyond basic requirements Devise own marketing and sponsorship growth strategies Generate a pipeline of new topics with always two validated ideas for each launch Cultivate sales and marketing relationships Demonstrate creativity in coming up with both revenue-generating and perception enhancing ideas for event portfolio Proactively cultivate personal relationships with key sponsors, speakers and associations.
