Position: Head of Operations Location: Finzels Reach, Bristol Job type: Full Time, Permanent Hours: 37.5 hours per week Salary: £60,000 per annum Benefits: 33 days holiday including 8 bank holidays and birthday day off. 5 x salary life insurance, 5% employer pension contribution, paid sick leave, happy to talk flexible working. Closing Date: Monday 6th April About the role: Ecosurety are looking for a business leader who has significant experience in the waste and resource management industry. Reporting to the CEO, and with direct line management of two key departments, the purpose of this job is to provide strategic oversight and accountability. This will be for operations relating to the procurement, compliance and technical delivery functions of the business. The ideal candidate will be friendly, assertive, quick paced and able to motivate others. Responsibilities: - Provide leadership to our two operational departments and represent them at board level (12 people in Technical and Procurement departments) - Lead the development and delivery of the Operations Team Plan - Lead projects and business change to achieve greater operating efficiencies - Lead the delivery of a quality assurance strategy, ensuring accuracy and integrity of customer and supplier data - Enable our procurement team to develop and work with key partners - Provide strategic support to the procurement team in winning tenders - Providing strategic direction to the management team and board on compliance operations - Promote a ‘compliance first’ culture across the company - Accountable for strategic direction of core services by our Technical Team (includes data management, EPR and international compliance management) - Accountable for commercial reporting of figures for core services - Work closely with sales, marketing, client services and procurement to develop our value proposition - Represent Ecosurety at Environment Agency, trade associations and other regulatory bodies’ meetings and events - Develop projects and campaigns to deliver a greater environmental impact - Provide support to our Members Team, attending occasional client meetings or industry events About you: - Experience in waste management and associated legislation - Proven leadership abilities at operational and strategic levels - High level of financial literacy - Proven ability to develop and implement new processes - Ability to be assertive, yet enable others to be at their best and contribute - High level of compliance and attention to detail, with ability to summarise complex data sets - Strong communication and negotiating skills - Ability to resolve problems at both a technical and people level - Excellent IT skills - Full UK drivers’ licence You may have experience of the following: Head of Operations, Operations Manager, Service Delivery, Operational Management, Service Manager, Head of Service Delivery, Operations Director, etc. Ref: 92797
