The Day Job Sopra Steria is recruiting for Head of Banking & Regulatory, this is an executive level role reporting into Head of Financial Services. This position will provide you with a key and integral role to the continued growth and success of Sopra Steria Financial Services business. The role will be responsible for driving sustained and profitable growth within the banking and regulatory sectors. This will include P&L ownership, determining vertical strategy, client relationship building/business development and fulfilment of specific business targets which contribute to the overall Private Sector success. Key Responsibilities Develops and leads all aspects of sales and Go To Market Strategy within the Banking and Regulatory industries. Is the Sopra Steria face to the market in the banking and regulatory industries. Accountability for the financial performance of existing client relationships, meeting new business targets & forecasting financial performance. Full accountability for all client relationships within their industries and significant approval responsibility with regards to client proposals. Designing and leading a robust client engagement model to maximise on-going and future business taking on the more strategic or critical client relationships personally. Fostering a culture of customer service and satisfaction, continuous improvement and results orientation aimed at ensuring objectives are achieved or exceeded. Ensuring the development and delivery of client specific annual plans that support the overall vertical and sector strategic plans. Management of Client Directors, Account Managers and Business Development Managers within their industries. Leading, engaging, motivating sales team, bid team, delivery teams and ensuring alignment to defined vertical objectives. Partnering with Delivery Directors to ensure appropriate knowledge of client relationships. Scanning the external market and remaining up to date with sector/vertical and market knowledge. Essential Skills Fundamental knowledge of the Banking and Regulatory landscapes, experience of working with or within these industries with the ability to demonstrate sound knowledge and understanding of clients within the industries. Proven track record in business development, developing innovative solutions and client engagement. Ability to lead "vertical" specific business propositions which provide innovative solutions, leverage Sopra Steria capabilities and based on sound commercial and financial judgement Ability to design and lead a robust client engagement model which maximising ongoing and future business. Considerable and demonstrable track record in running a business of scale and complexity Demonstrated experience in influencing and developing sales strategy with proven success over a number of years. Experience of developing and delivering strategic plans for a specific business area.
