Overview
This international membership organisation promotes and advances civil engineering around the world. The Role: The Lead Conference Producer will collaborate with the Director of Engineering Knowledge and Knowledge Content Manager to build, manage and deliver an annual programme of events and conferences. The Lead Conference Producer shall work with colleagues, members, stakeholders and sponsors to research, develop, manage and deliver a range of conferences, events, lectures and related knowledge content activity. Duties and Responsibilities: - Identifying opportunities to generate, develop and increase revenue for conferences and events across the Group - Effectively manage and deliver an annual programme of events - Liaising with industry contacts and subject matter experts to develop customer focused conferences and events - Identifying and developing strategic and thought leading events and activities and securing high-level speakers - Gathering marketing and sponsorship leads - Acting as overall project manager for designated conferences and thought leading programmes - Create project plans for major events within the annual events calendar - Produce marketing and sales programmes and briefs - Accountable for the budget and revenue generating status of each event and activity within designated campaign and events - Working with stakeholders across operations, sponsorship sales and marketing across joint lectures, webinars, events - Identifying risks associated with each project implementing risk management strategies - Making recommendations on the suitability of external campaigns and increase relevant brand awareness - Reviewing and maintain a competitor analysis of engineering conferences and produce status reports - Organising and coordinating project groups - Producing and maintaining revenue streams for events - Ensure excellent communication and collaboration with all stakeholders - Develop and monitor budgets and booking levels for events What we are looking for: - Demonstrable experience in the production of a material number of successful events and conferences - Experience of researching and developing high quality customer focused events and conferences within a commercial environment and/or similar organisation - Ability to take ownership and responsibility for projects, working to strict project timelines - Experience of producing more than two events at concurrently - Proven experience in writing event programmes and briefs - Excellent copywriting skills - Commercially aware with the ability to generate thought leading events - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Desirable - A Qualification in a Project Management methodology; or Event/Conference management - Experience of working in a membership organisation
