We are looking for an enthusiastic and industrious Marketing Assistant to support senior professionals with various tasks. The primary focus of the Marketing Assistant will be to provide support on projects designed to maximize company profits, including the development of sales strategies and marketing campaigns. This includes ad hoc activities as well as ongoing work which requires daily maintenance, making this a varied and fast paced role. The ideal candidate for our Marketing Assistant position is open to feedback, confident and calm under pressure, and self-motivated to complete tasks on a deadline with very little supervision. Marketing Assistant Job Duties: Work under the direction of the General Manager and CEO to help reach the company's marketing goals and objectives Help to develop the company’s marketing strategy in line with company objectives. This includes improving existing and past marketing efforts Creation and publication of all marketing material in line with marketing plans Planning and implementing promotional campaigns Preparing online and print marketing campaigns, including promotional materials such as flyers, brochures, posters and OOH banners, as well as website copy, digital advertisements and blog posts Working closely with external marketing companies and professionals, such as agencies and designers Analysing potential strategic partner relationships for company marketing, including evaluation of missed opportunities with our current partners Prepare and manage the marketing calendar which includes activities for all channels Manage all marketing campaigns for new and existing business, whilst working on lead generation to help generate sales Creating social media content, such as text posts, video and images for social media use Scheduling social media posts using applications such as Hootsuite Interacting with customers and dealing with their enquiries on social media, including responding to online reviews Work on creating an influencer programme to drive engagement, follower growth and sales Ensuring brand consistency in marketing and social media by working with various members of the company, including Venue Coordinators Providing guidance to other companies members on social media implementation best practices and strategies, such as Venue Coordinators Assist in implementing PPC activity, including Google Ads, Facebook Ads and LinkedIn ads for recruitment Create editorial articles for PR purposes Helping to implement changes to both copy and existing web pages to optimise them for SEO Performing ongoing keyword research including discovery and expansion of keyword opportunities Researching and implementing content recommendations for organic SEO success, through working closely with the company’s IT Director Creating compelling and interesting copy, for both physical and digital collateral Copy-editing and providing fact-checking Creating various graphs, reports, and detailed data analysis which is then relayed to members of senior management Track existing marketing campaigns to completion Managing the companies email campaigns and communicating company branding through email marketing Analysis of current email marketing campaigns and making recommendations for improvement Carrying out data segmentation for use in email marketing campaigns Designing, testing, scheduling and sending email marketing campaigns in Mailchimp Assisting with events planning, which includes organising and running promotional activities such as summer fetes and sports centre open days Collaborating with colleagues in other departments, including operations, training, sales and customer service Utilising photo and video editing software, such as Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Lightroom and Premiere to create digital assets such as website banners, alongside imagery which is fit for social media use Keeping up to date with current digital marketing trends Marketing Assistant Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business or a Related Field Strong creative ability Strong analytical and project management skills, including managing multiple projects at once Knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube plus their unique functionalities Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Lightroom and Premiere (desired) Experience using Google Analytics (desired) Experience using an ESP such as Mailchimp (desired) Experience in SEO best practices and tools such as Google Search Console (desired) Time management skills Quantitative and qualitative abilities Computer proficiency Strong written and verbal communication Interpersonal communication and the ability to work collaboratively Customer service skills Relationship building abilities Strong organisational skills, including the ability to plan effectively Punctuality
