Overview
My client is a rapidly growing, dynamic company based in the centre of Leeds. They are currently looking for a junior data scientist to join their Data team. The salary for this role is betwee £20,000 - £35,000 dependant on experience. The Role If you love statistics and want a challenging role within data science where you will get excellent training and development - then this is the perfect opportunity You will be working in a fast-paced environment learning how important data is to the marketing sector. On a typical day you will be: Developing highly desirable technical skills in software such as SAS, SQL and Python. Working closely with senior analysts. Analysing campaigns, carrying out data analysis, segmentation and response modelling. Attending client meetings and making recommendations based on your findings. Taking on responsibility, working both independently and in a team. Requirements 2:1 level degree in Statistics, Mathematics or Data Science with a heavy statistical focus. Advanced mathematics Advance Excel skills. 1 - 2 years of experience within a commercial data science role Mix of Knowledge/Skills in Python, R, Machine learning, AI, Hadoop, Complex Modeling, Tableau, SQL, Matlab and SAS Desired Skills: Work experience in a data analysis role. Knowledge of marketing analytics. Programming skills would a distinct advantage.
