Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Head of PR to join the PR and Communications team at Firmdale Hotels for a period 12 months as maternity cover. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an exciting team responsible for brand and media management internationally. The role will encompass elements of travel, food and interior design PR for one of the UKs most inspiring, privately owned luxury hotel brands. Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Public Relations, the Head of PR will manage the press office team consisting of PR Manager and PR Executive. They will be responsible for developing and implementing an innovative communications and media strategy, to include social media, across Firmdale Hotels and its brand extensions globally. Job role and responsibilities: Work with the Director of Marketing & Public Relations to create and implement a proactive PR Strategy Responsible for leading outward PR strategies promoting key initiatives and managing Firmdale Hotels’ profile and reputation Work closely with the Marketing team and hotel GMs to drive creative campaigns, brand partnerships and idea generation, responsive to market trends Cultivate and enhance strong and meaningful relationships with external partners and key media outlets in line with Firmdale Hotels’ target audience Oversee the management and development of the social media strategy and a pipeline for content, in line with Firmdale Hotels’ image and goals, and ongoing campaigns Manage and set objectives for the PR Manager, PR Executive and Press Office Continue to build and maintain key relationships with press and influencers Proactive media pitching and pursuing opportunities Work closely with the Director of Marketing & Public Relations to continue to manage and elevate the profile of the Owner and Creative Director Manage US and UK PR agencies A positive brand guardian and ambassador This job is perfect for those who are: Passionate about interior design, travel, bars and restaurants Always on the lookout for trends and make sure they know exactly what is hot right now Consumers of media Creative writers Networkers and easily adaptable to any situation Someone who understands the importance of relationships Positive and willing to get stuck in Proactive Why join Firmdale Hotels?
