Overview
The Buyer will be based in Feltham and have direct responsibility for portfolio spend of circa €12m responsibly for sourcing from both European and Global markets for both current products and NPD. Client Details I'm working with a leading FMCG business with annual revenue exceeding £2 billion. They manufacture, sell and distribute a range of food products across 15 European countries The Procurement team are looking to bring in a Buyer to be based out of the UK HQ in Feltham. The Procurement team work cross functionally with local Supply Units, R&D, Finance and Marketing Units to ensure an integrated approach across the business that can deliver their ambition for growth Description The Buyer is responsible for the sourcing strategy for your given category you will focus on new sources of supply to implement NPD and ensure continous of supply for current product in a fast pace industry Competitor scanning and market analysis Act as an essential Project Team member to support NPD Onboard new supplier Work closely with planning teams to forecast demand and evaluate inventory levels Negotiate and implement purchasing contracts Build & maintain both internal and external relationships Manage category budget, work with Senior Buyers to forecast prices quarterly and identify cost saving initiatives Profile Background experience within a large cross matrix organisation with experience within Procurement and an understanding of purchasing contracts, cost modelling and developing a Sourcing Strategy.
