Digital Sales Manager £60-70k commission benefits Our client: Our client are a privately owned, award-winning, boutique publisher employing over 100 staff from their luxury London offices. They produce compelling content for more than a dozen specialist brands, published in print and online, and available at newsstand and on subscription. They have over 50,000 monthly subscribers in the UK and a further 100,000 in North America. They reach a further 1.5 million enthusiasts online via our websites, email marketing, social channels and mobile apps. About the role: Our client are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic Digital Sales Manager to join the team to work across all brands. Previous sales experience and knowledge of digital marketing is essential. Responsibilities will include: Personal sales of at least £200k in year one This can be anywhere across the portfolio but with primary focus on digital. Assisting in exceeding the group annual digital target of £900k in year one. Leading the way in selling across the full portfolio or relevant demographic groupings. Support and train the Group Heads and advertising sales teams. Our client want the sales team to be fully equipped with the knowledge required to really help the client achieve their goals. There will be times that they will need your direct support or attendance at a meeting. One element on this is working with the teams to enable them to be more self-sufficient. Coach and improve the sales team so that they become solution based rather than adding digital on. Make sure they know Digital is a priority. Give them the reports and ammunition to sell effectively. Analyse the core markets top clients. How many of them could improve their digital spend? Brand extensions/Specials. At least 50k of special projects revenue from digital in 2019. This could be as standalone digital projects or as partners to existing extensions. Leadership - as a member of the Senior Ads Management team please ensure all the floor are optimistic and driven. Ensure Publishers/Editors are working with the Digital ad sales effort. Production - ensure we have a schedule of delivery that is accurate to the client deal and respects the integrity of our platform and audience. Reporting - produce a weekly report on what has been sold plus a monthly overview with a commentary. Efficiencies - report to senior management on what could make the sales effort, and wider digital strategy more efficient. Whether new software, tracking, or reporting Become one of our CRM experts Market knowledge - play a lead role in monitoring what the competition are doing online, and if we can do it better. Stay on top of digital commercial integration opportunities Social recommendations and strategy - How can we sell and package it better. Video - Content creation will initially need to be done by freelancers and then a margin charged on top of their cost.
