Overview

We're looking for a sub-editor who is passionate about live entertainment to assist with subbing all customer-facing and editorial communications for Ticketmaster UK. You will be responsible for spelling, grammar and factual accuracy across email, social, editorial as well as out of home and on-site marketing campaigns. Ticketmaster, part of Live Nation Entertainment, is the largest live entertainment company in the world, consisting of five businesses: concert promotion and venue operations, sponsorship, ticketing solutions, ecommerce and artist management. Live Nation seeks to innovate and enhance the live entertainment experience for artists and fans: before, during and after the show. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING Taking ownership of the proofing and approval process for our weekly Ticket Alert email, ensuring all copy is accurate and all listings are correct Checking all on-site copy for spelling, grammar and accuracy Checking and approving social posts, solus emails and newsletters for spelling, grammar, accuracy and house style Sub-editing all Discover editorial features and readying them in WordPress for approval by Content Production Manager, Senior Content Manager or Content Editor When required, publishing content on WordPress and rolling out via social media channels Sub-editing event and artist information as and when required, liaising with SEO executive to ensure they are optimised for SEO On occasion, writing copy for Discover and main TM site as and when needed Contributing to monthly editorial meetings Implementing brand tone of voice and house style across all written communications WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW Experience working as a sub-editor in a digital environment Experience working with a CMS and WordPress Ability to quickly rewrite and format copy Impeccable spelling, grammar, punctuation and a peerless attention to detail Desired Good knowledge of the entertainment industry, particularly music, theatre and comedy YOU Excellent communication (written and verbal) Proactive and highly organised, with the ability to project manage various tasks to tight deadlines Able to build effective relationships quickly across different business areas and at all levels Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to network with other internal departments and external suppliers Able to look creatively at the product and processes and offer suggestions for improvement Strategic thinker able to pull together and analyse data Able to work independently and take ownership of projects/work load CULTURE We have a 'Fan First' mindset., placing customers at the heart of everything we do.
