EVENT MANAGER Award winning media, events and publishing organisation Location: South London Salary £28,000 - £35,000 depending on experience Perkbox scheme Holiday allowance 25 days, 28 after 5 years. Pension 3%, and after 5 years increases to 5% Cycle Scheme Annual pay reviews every April Childcare voucher scheme Life insurance for death in service Season ticket purchase scheme Sickness pay package: 10 days full pay, first 10-day 11-20 half pay Paid for eye test every 2 years Annual Company Party MAJOR ROLES Work closely with and manage the awards and one events executive, providing support, and clear distribution of responsibilities. Manage each event from launch through to delivery, ensuring accuracy and efficiency with an excellent level of customer service whilst working within the set budget. Ensure that each stage of the awards is executed on time. Manage the awards judging process. Produce all event literature to a high standard. Ensure maximum marketing exposure from researching and sourcing data, and writing and designing all marketing collateral Accurately produce all marketing materials to a high standard of accuracy and presentation. Maximize on the opportunities for table sales at events and ensure that all invitations are made available to all guests in good time. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Provide accurate costs of all projects and ensure that the set budgets are adhered to maximizing on profit for the event and to ensure that any anticipated shortfall in revenue or overspend in costs are discussed with the relevant brand Identify potential sponsors for events Produce a project timeline for each event with dates agreed with the relevant brand Ensure that all award entries, delegate bookings and table sales are correctly registered on the booking system. Process all awards entries as they are received Ensure that the judging panel receive award nominations on time and are briefed appropriately. Ensure that all invitations to awards are sent out on time Ensure that all attendees at events receive detailed and appropriate information on time. Ensure the script for awards events is completed and distributed to the relevant teams Maintain regular correspondence with all guests and sponsors. Follow up with shortlisted organisations and take responsibility for table sales revenue. Produce marketing schedules in accordance with the timelines for each event, taking particular account of early bird incentives, entry deadlines etc. and to work with publishing teams to coordinate schedules with other special events/supplements etc. Write copy and design email campaigns in accordance with the timelines for each event, taking particular account of early bird incentives, entry deadlines Write and publish social media copy through twitter/tweetdeck and Facebook and other platforms where relevant. Research national and local press for potential awards entries and approach accordingly. Source appropriate venues and suppliers for all events. Ensure all work from suppliers is delivered on time to agreed schedules and to a high quality. Work with the design studio to ensure that all marketing and on-site event materials are designed to a high quality. Provide excellent client management and customer service before, during and after all events Ensure that all events with direct responsibility adequately reflect trends in sector, are up to date, relevant and meet the needs of target delegates. Collate feedback and testimonials post ceremony, writing and sending feedback surveys where required. Develop and manage the events executive, with regular monitoring and progress reports.
