Overview
The Company: An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Merchandiser / Account Manager to join a Fast Fashion supplier looking after a large customer accounts. You will maintain a good customer relationship and ensure the customer’s needs are met. The Role: Liaising daily with suppliers and customers. Experience with liaising with the Far East, Bangladesh, India is essential. Raising purchase orders, customer packaging / label orders (care labels, brand labels, price labelling) and dispatching to suppliers Monitoring and maintaining the critical path. An in depth knowledge of the critical path is essential. The merchandiser will be responsible for chasing in lab dips, print strike offs, bulk fabric and sample submissions (sealer samples /pre-production samples / production samples / press samples). Liaising with our shipping and sales / deliveries department, ensuring that goods arrive are processed and are delivered on time. Attending customer meetings both the head office in Manchester and also the London Covent Garden Showroom. Full meeting follow up will be required, from quoting prices to arranging development samples. Working closely with the QC and design teams. The product area will be men’s knitwear, accessories, jerseywear, sweats. Customers will include both those from the high street and online. Providing team leadership, problem solving and guidance for junior merchandisers of the team. Skill Required: MUST feel confident meeting customers and liaising with factories. Have a good understanding of the industry, and fashion. Ideally have strong IT skills including Excel. Have followed a critical path from initial concept to delivery. Able to multi task and be highly efficient. Strong communication skills both verbal and written. Working hours are 9.30am - 6pm Monday to Friday 20 days holiday 1 day for your birthday.
