£46,000 - £48,000 | WC2 London | Head of Events Do you take pride in being a successful leader and manager? Are you looking to join a world-leading society? The Head of Events (HoE) will bring leadership and vision to the Society's events, conference and venue team, working to deliver the business plan for the department. The HoE will be responsible for continuing work on the developments the venue hire offering and client-services, as well as providing best-in-class support to conference convenors and internal users. Role Responsibilities: Management and leadership Embed a more commercial approach to income generation in the events team, to enable revenue growth and diversification Shape and lead the events team to deliver top-quality customer service for internal and external clients Work with the Head of Development to grow event sponsorship and proactively identify sponsorship opportunities Ensure the conference office meets financial targets Grow and nurture relationships with Fellows and external partners Grow and nurture relationships with internal staff in support of the Society's 2017-2027 strategy Provide leadership coaching and mentoring to the events team Conference delivery Oversee the management and delivery of Society conferences, events, and lectures Develop the strategy for the branding and marketing of events from web, print and social media Continue to embed a commercial approach to conference delivery Manage and deliver one-off Society conferences Ensure that events and lectures deliver the Science Strategy Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team, staff and Council to grow the offering of Society events, in London and beyond Venue oversight Develop and implement a strategy to increase venue hire revenue Work with the events team to improve booking and on-the-day service for internal and external venue-hire clients If this is the opportunity you have been searching for, please apply today to avoid disappointed.
