Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a creative Content & Digital Editor, responsible for helping to create, implement, and execute the strategy and plan for our digital and PR channels. You will assist with creating content for social media, write content for the website, our printed materials and other marketing publications. You will have a keen eye for detail and be responsible for proof-reading a wide range of material. You will have the opportunity to help develop Jewish Care’s key campaigns alongside a strong marketing, communications and PR team. Responsibilities will also include delivering the planning and content of our internal communications channel, Workplace along with showing colleagues how to engage with the platform. This role would suit someone who is passionate about content, has a keen knowledge of digital platforms, an engaging writing style for a variety of audiences, and an excellent eye for detail. You will: Support the planning and content of digital, PR and communications work as necessary. Identify excellent content opportunities to be utilised across the social media and PR team Brief and manage the sourcing and creation of content (from copywriting to photography and video content via smartphone). Creating content for Jewish Care’s online and in-print media. Create E-communications via MailChimp to support our fundraising and events. Keep an up to date record of social media plans for the organisation on an ongoing basis. Proof reading copy as needed. Attend events across Jewish Care to gain new content as needed. Produce reports and analysis of digital marketing campaigns. Website and Social Media Work with the Digital Marketing Manager and PR team to increase the organisation’s engagement and visibility among potential supporters and partners Schedule and source content for social media. Increase use of video and new media across social media channels. Support Digital Marketing Manager in the creation and monitoring of paid ads.Help to keep the website up to date with events, copy and marketing as required. Content Plan and produce compelling content which will make a lasting impact in supporting our PR and communications objectives. Use a range of innovative formats like infographics, stories, blogs etc. to bring complex, detailed stories to the attention of online readers. Update, maintaining and protecting our digital brand. Help to ensure consistency in messages coming out from different departments and on different platforms. Data/Analytics/Reporting Combine the use of analytic tools to report on website, email and social media performance on monthly and adhoc basis, working with the Digital Marketing Manager to provide commentary and making recommendations on improving performance. Monitor digital campaign performance (e.g. online event sign-ups and direct marketing appeal donations) on a daily basis – spotting trends, testing and evaluating tactics (organic and paid ads). Compile regular statistics on social media accounts, to be documented internally. Internal communications Keep Jewish Care’s internal communications platform, Workplace, up to date and assist others with its implementation. Train other staff in using Workplace as necessary. Help to draft organisation-wide emails, mailouts and communications when necessary. In-print Help to generate content ideas for Jewish Care’s PR and print publications, marketing campaigns and advertorials. Write content for a variety of audiences online and offline. Working with the PR and Press executive to source engaging stories from across the organisation You will need: 3-5 years’ experience in digital marketing or content writing Experience of using a range of social media and online channels Experience of writing for print publications Working knowledge of social media Use of MailChimp & digital analytics We are always happy to consider flexible working, this role could be full or part time working from 3 -5 days per week, for the right candidate.
