Overview

Brand Manager we develop and deliver the strategies that drive our continued success. We build brands that consumers love and that are highly relevant to them in their everyday lives, and we work collaboratively with our internal and external partners to drive sustained growth. The Brand Manager will contribute fully to the strategy and delivery of one of these teams, with a high degree of autonomy and responsibility. As a Brand Manager you will be responsible for driving the development and the implementation of the brand strategy, working with our commercial teams to develop growth plans, developing and delivering compelling and distinctive brand marketing programmes, and above all building marketing leading brands that people talk about. To manage the overall revenue and profit delivery of a brand portfolio. To develop, drive and execute the strategic marketing plan for the brand portfolio, ensuring short- and long-term financial targets are achieved. Principle Accountabilities Delivery of brand strategy & plans to meet business sales and profit targets in line with Brand Planning process and pladis UK performance KPIs. Regularly review plan and performance throughout the year, taking appropriate remedial action as necessary Contributes to the Brand strategy and the prioritisation & management of brand plan initiatives, leading brand building, sales driving, and NPD launch projects Emphasis on using data and insights to drive projects and the development of the brand Manage projects in line with the brand plans Full marketing mix responsibilities Act as brand and consumer champion within pladis UK. Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience Degree level To be successful in this role you need to be able to show determination, entrepreneurialism, ambition and drive. We are looking for someone with an energy for working with others and creating initiatives that create growth. There is real scope for success with this portfolio and a real focus for business growth over three years. You need to be a self-starter, able to work across multiple projects and disciplines. Experience in FMCG is preferred, but not essential. Competencies Application of Knowledge Manage the development of strong integrated marketing plans, as appropriate across OOH, digital, social media, in-store. Problem Solving & Innovation Development of brand plan, identify market opportunities for brand growth based on a clear understanding of consumer insight and the competitive landscape. Build a commercially strong brand plan to deliver brand growth and share gain. Interaction Lead cross functional teams to deliver ongoing brand building and sales driving programmes, including in-store activation and new product launches. Engage and persuade others to gain commitment to key initiatives without reliance on formal authority. Inspire our commercial teams to deliver for the job holder's respective brand. Form strong working relationships with technical development and supply chain on the development of brand renovation projects. Impact Marketing is at the heart of the pladis business, and it is the role of Marketing to lead the brand building and business agenda. The Brand Manager plays a critical role in making things happen, in inspiring, persuading, and gaining commitment for his / her projects across different functions and different work levels. He / she will need to have the confidence to present to Director and UK Exec level on a frequent basis.
