Overview

Our client is an exceptional events agency based in Central London. They produce outstanding, eye catching events and impart their unrivalled knowledge to the event experience. They are looking for an Events Manager with a minimum of 3 years events experience to join their close-knit team. The role will include coordinating a range of events and activations for the agency plus supporting on an annual retail exhibition in July. The key purpose of this role is to successfully manage exquisite events, whilst building and maintaining strong client relationships . The role of Events Manager in more detail Must be happy to work as part of a small team of a high growth business Supportive team ethos - do what is required to get the job done, managing a small team Central London location and competitive salary based upon experience The successful candidate will be a team player, experienced in the end to end management Responsibilities include Supporting the creative process and event solutions to deliver the event brief,establishing KPIs with clients Day to day event management, including client liaison, event operations, exhibitor/ guest management, supplier management and event production Preparation and sign off of detailed planning documents, project plan, health & safety, risk assessments and supplier / staff briefings Full responsibility for onsite event, client and operations management Post-event actions including budget reconciliations, debriefs and follow ups Create and maintain budgets and invoices Venue & supplier research, negotiations, quotations and contracts Support with developing and updating processes and procedures for the business Attend new business meetings with the Business Development Manager, involvement in client proposals, development of existing client relationships A Specific Event Responsibilities include (30% time): The successful candidate will be supporting the delivery of a annual two-day retail event Liaising with event partners and sponsors to deliver agreed value Creating an exceptional event experience with theming, dressing, catering, entertainment Managing the workshop and content schedule Ultimate responsibility for preparation and management of Health & Safety & Risk Assessments Preparation and sign off of detailed planning documents, project plan, key contacts, running orders, rig and ordering schedule and supplier / staff briefings Planning 5 small PR events per year - each for 50 guests Desired Skills & Expertise Punctuality, timekeeping a priority Minimum 3 years events experience. Must have had agency experience Degree level education A love of process, procedure, spreadsheets, research and completing tasks Sound awareness of the industry including health & safety, venue knowledge, supplier knowledge and contacts within the industry is key. Competent working on written presentations and communicating face to face Confidence - at ease on phone and in presence of senior clients Excellent organisation and time management skills essential Competent at Excel and spreadsheet management Excellent attention to detail and grammatical skills Ability to write mature client correspondence and delegate communication.
