Overview
Role Scope: To ensure the timely and accurate regulatory reporting under both EMIR and MiFID II Support the regulatory reporting team with development and maintenance of operational documentation Client Details A globally renowned energy commodities firm. With a global network of offices, this role sits in the ideally located Central London offices. Description Accountabilities: Perform daily data reconciliations and investigate breaks Monitor trade submission error logs, performing root cause analysis to ensure trades are reported within specified timeframe Liaise with relevant departments to assist with fixing regulatory reporting errors Navigate through multiple internal systems to identify and understand transaction discrepancies Analyse pairing and matching rates within the transaction repository and assist in reducing unpaired/unmatched trades Ensure all regulatory operational processes are sufficiently documented Monitor regulatory developments and updates within the industry Support analysis for Project work Support other areas of regulatory reporting as directed by the Head of Regulatory Reporting On-going analysis of the quality of the data reported to ensure all information submitted is correct Challenge current practices and procedures and develop and implement new procedures to enhance the reporting and controls process as necessary Other duties as assigned Profile Person Specification: Understanding of the financial markets in commodities. Previous practical experience in the commodities industry is preferable. Experience in a regulatory reporting role. Ability to follow procedures, identify problems and follow up on resolutions Good attention to detail and accuracy skills Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise effectively Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good word and excel skills Proactive and driven to deliver the required tasks Analytical and problem solving skills Job Offer Looking to pay up to £43,000 with a great benefits package.
